Karen Yates
I have been a midwife since 1987 and worked in a variety of roles including clinical, administration, education and research. My most recent role is as a Senior Lecturer at James Cook University in Cairns. I have been actively involved with the Australian College of Midwives since joining in 1989. I have served on the Queensland State Executive committee in several roles at varying times. I have a strong interest in history, particularly the history of midwives and midwifery and believe that to know our history helps to inform our present.
